So it’s Christmas Day, you’ve eaten too much, you’re in that lovely post-dinner slump… and maybe you’re looking for something fun to do that doesn’t involve another round of charades.
I’ve got four AI ideas for you – all free, all fun, all guaranteed to get a laugh.
Number one: The Christmas photo glow-up
Open ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, upload a selfie, and try this prompt:
“Put me in a cozy Christmas scene holding a giant candy cane. Make it festive and fun.”
You’ll get this gorgeous, ridiculous image of yourself looking like you belong in a Hallmark movie. It’s silly, it’s shareable, and I promise at least one family member will want you to do theirs next.
Number two: Santa’s voice message
Head to ElevenLabs – that’s elevenlabs.io – and find their Santa voice. It’s free.
Type in any message, hit generate, and suddenly Santa is saying whatever you want.
Use it to leave a voicemail for someone. Send it to the family WhatsApp group. Or if there are kids around, have Santa deliver a very personalized message about how he knows they didn’t eat their broccoli last Tuesday.
Big reactions. Every time.
Number three: The Christmas storytelling game
This one’s great if you’ve got a group.
Get everyone to shout out one character – can be anyone. Granny. A penguin. Timothée Chalamet. Whoever.
Then someone gives a one-sentence setup. Something like: “They all wake up trapped in Santa’s workshop.”
Pop it all into ChatGPT and ask it to write a short, funny Christmas story using those characters and that setup.
What you get back is usually absolute chaos – and that’s the point. Read it aloud. It’s guaranteed laughs.
Number four: Your family Christmas song
Go to Suno – that’s suno.ai – and get AI to write you a personalized Christmas song.
Give it a prompt like:
“Write a funny country song about my Auntie Mary, who always burns the turkey, and my uncl,e who falls asleep before dessert.”
You’ll get an actual song. With vocals. In about thirty seconds.
Play it at the dinner table. Watch people’s faces. You’re welcome.
So there you go – four ways to have a bit of AI fun today.
The photo, the Santa voice, the storytelling game, and your very own Christmas song.
Try one, try all four – and Merry Christmas.
