Do You Want To Work With A Coach of Excellence in Public Sector Marketing?

By

Joanne Sweeney awarded Coach of Excellence accreditation

What is an expert anyway, and how do you know if you are being coached by one?

I never like to leave my students, clients, or collaborators asking this question, so I can tell you how I validate my expertise in government and public sector marketing communications.

1. 10,000 hours of academic and practical experience every two years. I also teach what I practice, and I practice what I preach.

2. External verification and authentication by the CPD Standards Office, leaders in best-in-class education, and continuing professional development.

“To become an academic expert takes years of studying. Academic experts are experts in how and what others have done. They use case studies and observation to understand a subject.”

Simon Sinek

I have been awarded the Coach of Excellence badge which verifies my work as a consultant and coach. As you know, I make sure that my credentials are both industry-leading and externally authenticated.

The sole aim of Coach of Excellence Accreditation is to promote personal, intellectual, and professional growth by coaches and consultants. It also ensures that Continuing Professional Development training coaches are masters in their art.

So if you are working with me then you know that you are working with a communications coach who brings 20 years of experience from industry, academia and as a daily practitioner of my skills.

A two-time author on how social media and digital marketing is used by government, policing and public sector bodies, I also focused both of my Master’s Degrees on the world of digital communications and public sector.

My Master’s Degree in Journalism studied the impact of a public inquiry into alleged Garda corruption on the police force in Donegal, north west Ireland.

10 years later, I completed by second Master’s Degree and I undertook the very first primary study of how the Irish police force, An Garda Siochana, use social media for crime prevention, investigation, community engagement and public relations.

With a 20-year career behind me in journalism, corporate communications and client-focused digital marketing and training, I’ve worked in all areas of media – traditional and digital.

I bring my political and policy knowledge along with my public relations expertise to bear in the world of digital communications for my clients.

I was then motivated four years ago to begin designing and delivering my own public sector and government focused online courses as I felt most digital marketing courses were too general and mostly focused on business and commercialism.
