How to Translate Documents Seamlessly with Adobe Express

By

In todayโ€™s connected world, working across borders often means navigating multiple languages. Whether youโ€™re collaborating with European institutions, engaging with audiences in the US, or communicating with citizens in their native languages, having a reliable document translation tool is essential.

Thankfully, Adobe Express offers an intuitive and efficient solution for translating documents. In this blog post, Iโ€™ll walk you through the steps to use Adobe Express to translate your documents quickly and easily.

Why Use Adobe Express for Translation?

Adobe Express is more than just a creative platform; it includes robust features powered by AI that streamline complex tasks, like translating documents. With dozens of languages supported and customisable options, this tool ensures your content is accessible to diverse audiences.

Getting Started: Preparing Your Document

To translate a document using Adobe Express, youโ€™ll need a PDF file. Hereโ€™s how you can get started:

  1. Open your Adobe Express dashboard. Itโ€™s best to use the desktop version for this task.
  2. Upload the PDF document you want to translate.

Step-by-Step Guide to Translating Documents

Once your document is uploaded, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Document
Adobe Express will convert and open your PDF, preparing it for translation.
  2. Select the Translate Option
Navigate to the top of the screen and click on the Translate button. This will highlight the entire document for translation.
  3. Choose Your Translation Settings
On the left-hand side, under the Translate menu, you can:
    • Select the language you want to translate your document into. For this tutorial, I chose German.
    • Decide whether to adjust the tone of voice. Adobe Express lets you maintain your original tone or select a new one. I opted not to change the tone.
    • Choose specific pages to translate. If you only need certain pages translated, deselect the others. For my document, I selected only page one.
  4. Click Translate
Once your preferences are set, click the Translate button. Adobe Express will use AI to process the translation. In just moments, your document will be translated into the selected language.
  5. Download the Translated File
After the translation is complete, click the Download button. Adobe Express gives you the option to add accessibility tags, ensuring your document is inclusive. The translated file is then saved to your deviceโ€”quick and convenient!
