There’s been a rumour mill working at lightning speed since Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri said, “Instagram is not just a photo-sharing app anymore.”
People were saying that images aren’t supported, or that you’ll only get reach if you publish videos. What they actually said is that they are putting more focus into video because that’s what the community wants.
They even went further and leaked its weekly algorithm requirements on what we should be doing for peak account performance, and it was video-heavy! If you missed it, here it is:
- > 3 posts per week
- > 8-10 stories per week
- > 4-7 Reels per week
- > 1-3 IGTVs per week
