IPA 2022 Bronze Award Winner

The Public Sector Marketing Show has won Bronze in the Best Marketing Category at the 2022 Irish Podcast Awards. We attended the awards ceremony in Liberty Hall in Dublin and met other podcasters as eager as us to be behind the mic!

It's a great honour to win given there were hundreds of entries: 125 final nominations in 27 categories from 60+ podcast series.

While we are a niche podcast for government, public sector, not-for-profit, and political pros, our value or impact is not less important. While we may have fewer listeners than Bressie, Blindboy, the The 2 Johnnies or Georgie Crawford, our message is important: we exist to help improve the standard of digital communications in the public interest.

Thank you to all our listeners, guests, and to Niall at Sound To Light that edits the show.

Matt Deegan from the Irish Podcast Awards says:

“We are delighted with the volume and quality of all the entrants this year! 2022 was an incredible year for Podcasting and we hope our nominees showcase the broad range of talent in the industry today. It’s fantastic to see the calibre of Irish podcasting improving every single year.”

The 2022 nominee list is packed with both household names and hidden gems, from Ireland's most recognisable voices in Pat Kenny and Mario Rosenstock to rising stars Andrew McGovern and Aideen Finnegan. The Irish Podcast Awards pride themselves on recognising fresh talent in an industry that continues to change and evolve every year.

Among the 27 categories are awarded for Arts and Culture, Health and Wellbeing, Creativity, and a special Category for Industry Newcomers. Alongside the main judged awards, there will also be a Listeners’ Choice category – a free public vote – where listeners can vote for any Irish podcast.

The IPA judges come from all walks of life across the Irish audio and media sector along with podcast companies from all over the world. The judging panel was chaired by Broadcaster Angela Scanlon.
