An Irish author has published a book set to transform how global governments and public sector agencies communicate.
Joanne Sweeney’s Public Sector Marketing Pro is a masterclass in digital age government and citizen engagement.

Cochran worked with President Obama from 2011-2012 as a chief digital advisor and then in the US State Department from 2012-2016.

Speakers from the PSNI, European Council of Europe, HSE, Office of the Ombudsman for Children, Visit Derry, University of Limerick, Office of Public Works, safefood, Donegal Education and Training Board and the University of York in the UK among others will share case studies on how they are leveraging social media for greater public engagement and crisis management.
Facebook and Instagram will also share insights into how these channels are promoting and protecting government communications and industry experts on LinkedIn, video marketing, professional reputation online and metrics will also provide insights.
Sweeney says the time for a transformation of government communications has long passed. It’s now been disrupted by the engaged citizen whose hand of power has never been so dominant.
